The Baby Soup

Hannah has a fascination with her bathing suit. When she finds it she immediately takes off all her clothes and puts it on. Last night she insisted she must sleep with her "baby soup" on. There are worse things and I really did not feel like a fight with her...so I let her. After a couple of days of wearing it, I have to bribe her to take it off so I can wash it. Then I try to hide it...but she always finds it when I have my guard down. If she even sees a little piece of it showing in the pile of clean clothes she'll say "I need my soup on". I can only hope she will soon outgrow this and want to wear her "princess" outfits again. A princess outfit is any kind of dress. She is definitely her own person and isn't afraid to let us know what she wants when she wants it.....

Thats hilarious. I remember my brothers always insisting on wearing their "hammer" shorts over jeans -- weird. Have you guys checked out the Highlands pool yet?

My youngest girl does the same thing and is 6! She wore it all winter (inside only) and has it on all day every day now that the weather is warmer. I love the names kids come up with for things. So cute!

Your kids always have the funnest names for things. My favorite was Mathews "word" for motorcycle. How would you spell that?

That is so cute - I love checking in on your adorable kids.

Lia...the best way I can think to spell how Matthew used to say motorcycle is "molutterla"...Matthew loved motorcycles when he was small and would start yelling and yelling "molutterla, molutterla" over and over again in the van when we would see one while out driving.

I can remember my little sister wearing a particular bathing suit all the time. She would never take it off, she even wore it underneath her church clothes. I think my mom and dad took it off of her in her sleep so they could wash it.
