Growing Up

Megan shaved her legs for the first time today. I remember the first time I shaved my legs. I asked my mom if I could and she said yes and I was so excited. I had been telling Megan that she could start shaving hers when she turned 12. She is two months away from being 12 and I let her. She told me that her girlfriend laughed at how the hair looked when it was wet when they went swimming. So, this morning I gave her a lesson on how to do it without cutting herself and she emerged from the bathroom with no cuts! She had a few patches of hair where she missed but all in all she did a good job. Next we tackle her eyebrows with some wax!

The thought of this scares me!! My mom wouldn't let me do it, so I snuck a razor, went to the bathroom and DRY shaved my legs. Ya, not fun. I'm gonna let K do it as soon as she asks, I think? It hasn't come up yet.

I finally let Chelsea start shaving her legs last summer. Her problem is that she inheirited the DeMille hair genes and she has plenty of it. She is pretty much an expert at it now. I can't believe our little girls are growing up, I miss our little 3 year olds don't you?

Yeah, Emily shaves and wears mascara. Not much, but still it's weird. The downside is that she uses MY razor and MY mascara. It's just like having a little sister again!

Megan is so lucky that she didnt cut herself. I think the razors are better than they used to be, because I cut myself about every time for the first several. Way to go Megan.
