Thoughts

"I believe that always, or almost always, in all childhood, and in all lives that follow them, the mother represents madness. Our mothers always remain the strangest, craziest, people we've ever met." Marguerite Duras

As my kids continue to grow up I sometimes wonder how it will be when they are out of the house with their own families....I wonder if they will someday look back and think "man, my mom was so awesome!!! She put up with us and she deserves a medal!!! Or will they look back and think.."man, she was a weirdy!!"

That is the best quote EVER in the history of nutcrackers!

I think that you will get a medal! You are the best mom!

I, on the other hand, will get a 'weirdy' medal. Stephanie is on a "You hate me" kick right now, and man, it really makes me EXTRA weird.

I wonder the same thing quite often. I hope Noah won't remember me as a "yeller". Sometimes I do that way too much. I need to learn patience.

I think I'd rather be remembered as weird than absent or distant. Bring on the madness!!!!

I always wonder what my kids will remember of me. Kowhai likes to remind me that I get angry a lot. Every time she wants me to remember an occassion she'll say, "Remember, you got really mad cause...." I pointed this out to her the other day and asked her to please stop referring to me that way. It makes me ANGRY!!
