My sister has a 5x7 of this picture in her room and one day she said something about it to Zane and his response was something like "that's you and Kim? I thought that was me and Megan playing dressup".

Conversations
Recently I rented The Wizard of Oz for the little kids...I thought they might enjoy it. Hannah more than enjoyed it..she was mesmerized and watched it every day at least once for a week before I insisted we return it to Netflix. The first night she watched it, this is the conversation she had with Megan......
Hannah: "Megan, when I grow up I wanna be Dorothy. Do you wanna be Dorothy's dog?"
Megan: "No, I want to be the wicked witch of the East" *Not too far off the mark for her lately*...oh did I just say that?? Anyway, back to the conversation....
Hannah: "Oh, I'm sorry, you HAVE to be Dorothy's dog.
Hannah loves peanut butter sandwiches....but she has the hardest time saying sandwich when it follows peanut butter. The other night I had this conversation with her.....
Me: "Hannah, what'd you have for lunch today?"
Hannah: "A peanut butter frandjit"
Me: "say sandwich".....said slowly with syllables enunciated.
Hannah: "sandwich".....said perfectly!
Me..a little while later: "Hannah what'd you have for lunch today?"
Hannah: "a peanut butter frandjit"
There is a big part of me that wants her to call it a peanut butter frandjit forever! But I know one day she will always say sandwich and the frandjit will just be a fond memory. Oh, why must they grow up so fast?

Randomness
Suzie tagged me....I've done this tag before and now I have to think of 6 more random things about me....hmmmm it's hard to come up with those!
RULES~
1- Post the rules on your blog
2- List 6 random things about yourself.
3- Tag 6 people at the end of your post.
4- Let each person know they have been tagged and leave a comment on their blog.
5- Let the tagger know when your entry is up.
1- When I was little I used to pretend the manequins in the mall were my parents...yes, I know..this is very strange and should of been the first sign that something was not quite right with me. :)
2-I sometimes think of something funny from the past and laugh right out loud or even worse laugh hysterically...even when it's something that happened days, weeks or even years ago. There have been many occasions my kids have thought for sure I was off my rocker.
3-I moved 10 times from the time I was 5 until I was 20. I went to 2 different elementary schools and three different high schools.
4-When Zack was around 8 I would cry and feel so bad because I thought we didn't have a good relationship...I prayed and prayed and tried to feel better about him..then when he was around 11 or so I started to like him again....then it happened with Josh the same way and so on ...I've decided that from around 8-11 or 12 I just don't really enjoy my kids as much as I want to...but I know I will enjoy them again..until they are full fledged teenagers and then all bets are off!
5-I often look back at pictures and think I looked like the worst dressed ever...what was I thinking??? I'm not very fashion oriented.
6-I LOVE to be barefoot and would wear flipflops every day if it wasn't so freakin cold here!

scanning in the memories
I feel that in some ways we've always been a little behind in the technology department. We found ourselves with a broken printer a few months ago and because of finances we just didn't get a new one...but after many nights of Aaron having to run to kinkos to print things that needed to be printed for the kids school projects...we got a new printer and this one has a scanner!!! Oh the joy and rapture that fills my soul!!! Now I can scan in all the pictures I've wanted to...whooopedeee doo dah day! Shall I share a few random ones I've just scanned in..playing around with our new toy! They are in quite random order....
Me, my Aunt Jo and Jenny....Christmas 1987...posing at my grandma's house...there are so many photos around taken in front of the secretary right by the front door at grandma's. Oh how she loved taking pictures....I miss her so much! I've always loved this picture of my dad and me....I love him so much. I think I was around 15 when this was taken.me..around 6 months?
I was a senior in high school when this was taken.
The following pictures were taken by my dad...I still remember posing for them. They are some of my most treasured pictures. Jenny and I fought so much during this time. We were so different from each other. But how I treasure these pictures...showing our goofy side. I love you Jenny!

Christmas Blessings
This past year started off so well..things were looking so good for us. Around August the economy started taking a nose dive and we sure did feel it! I guess people don't buy furniture when they are worried about money. So, after our trip to Utah (thanks Dad) I got a job and things got worse with Aaron's job and it just wasn't looking good for Christmas...I was so worried. I worry too much! Thanks to our Secret Santa, my sister, my Dad, Aaron's family and my mom we had a lovely Christmas. We are feeling so much love.... thank you thank you thank you!
I worked on Christmas and the kids had to wait until I got off to open gifts. Aaron brought them to my work for breakfast and then again for lunch. It was such a nice day and I didn't mind working at all....well maybe just a little bit....but it ended up just fine and the kids were so patient and had the best manners the whole day. I think we only had one fight and that is a Christmas miracle!
