Recently I rented The Wizard of Oz for the little kids...I thought they might enjoy it. Hannah more than enjoyed it..she was mesmerized and watched it every day at least once for a week before I insisted we return it to Netflix. The first night she watched it, this is the conversation she had with Megan......
Hannah: "Megan, when I grow up I wanna be Dorothy. Do you wanna be Dorothy's dog?"
Megan: "No, I want to be the wicked witch of the East" *Not too far off the mark for her lately*...oh did I just say that?? Anyway, back to the conversation....
Hannah: "Oh, I'm sorry, you HAVE to be Dorothy's dog.
Hannah loves peanut butter sandwiches....but she has the hardest time saying sandwich when it follows peanut butter. The other night I had this conversation with her.....
Me: "Hannah, what'd you have for lunch today?"
Hannah: "A peanut butter frandjit"
Me: "say sandwich".....said slowly with syllables enunciated.
Hannah: "sandwich".....said perfectly!
Me..a little while later: "Hannah what'd you have for lunch today?"
Hannah: "a peanut butter frandjit"
There is a big part of me that wants her to call it a peanut butter frandjit forever! But I know one day she will always say sandwich and the frandjit will just be a fond memory. Oh, why must they grow up so fast?

That is very cute.
I know it's so sad when you have to say goodbye to those cute little things they say and do. Somehow I don't think she'd be very popular with her peers at 16 if she still couldn't say sandwich!! Hee hee!
Devon used to say "Smashed potatoes" - which he totally denied the other night...
